چکیده

the objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of metal mobilizing agents, ethelynediaminetetraacetic acid (edta) and salicylic acid (sa), on the accumulation and translocation of lead (pb) and nickel (ni) by fenugreek ( trigonellafoenum-graecum l . ) plants in contaminated soil. edta and sa were amended at 100 mm and 1.0 mm respectively. pb and ni content were estimated using icp-oes. plant samples were prepared for scanning electron microscope (sem) analysis to investigate metals distribution in different tissues (root, stem and leaf) of plant. the results showed that edta increased pb and ni uptake as compared to sa. sem analysis revealed that in the presence of edta, the deposition of pb particles was predominantly in vascular tissues of the stem and leaf.

Potential availability of heavy metals to phytoextraction from contaminated soils induced by exogenous humic substances.

Effective phytoremediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals depends on their availability to plant uptake that, in turn, may be influenced by either the existing soil humus or an exogenous humic matter. We amended an organic and a mineral soil with an exogenous humic acid (HA) in order to enhance the soil organic carbon (SOC) content by 1% and 2%. The treated soils were further enriched wi...

Induced-phytoextraction of heavy metals from contaminated soil irrigated by industrial wastewater with Marvel of Peru (Mirabilis jalapa L.)

The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and citric acid (CA) on Mirabilis jalapa L. growth and phytoextraction of heavy metals from the multi-metal contaminated soil. The results showed that the application of CA (5 and 8 mmol/kg) and EDTA (5 mmol/kg) increased plant growth, while when the concentration of EDTA was up to 8 mmol/...

Assessment of Heavy Metals Transition (Pb, Ni and Vanadium) In Hur Al-Azim Wetland Food Chain

Heavy metals are one of the most important organic pollutants in the environment due to human activities in the environment. This study was carried out to investigate heavy metals in 7 stations of Hur al-Azim wetland in the spring of 2018. The statistical population for measuring heavy metals such as Ni, Pb and vanadium with 3 repetitions included 21 sediment samples, 21 water samples, 21 Phrag...

comparison of synthetic chelates and compost at enhancing phytoextraction of cd, ni and pb from contaminated soil under canola cultivation

abstract the plants which can be used to clean up the soil of heavy metals contamination are named phytoremedation. phytoremediation has received increasing attention because of its low environmental impact and cost-effectiveness. but, it is slowly process and needs long time. in such reson, chelating agents have been proposed to improve the efficiency of phytoextraction by increasing solubilit...

Phytoextraction of Cadmium, Lead and Nickel from a Contaminated Soil by, Hordeum Vulgar L. and Brassica Napus L.

Heavy metals contamination is a major environmental problem which requires immediate human attention. The use of plant species to remove pollutants from soils, generally defined as phytoextraction. In order to evaluate phytoextraction of contaminated soils, a pot experiment conducted using two plants Barley, Canola three kinds of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Ni) with 3 levels in a completely randomize...
